What happens when you quit vaping?

The benefits of quitting vaping include improved lung function, reduced coughing and wheezing, decreased risk of respiratory infections, improved cardiovascular health, increased sense of taste and smell, better oral health, increased energy levels, and saving money. [ ref:1 ]

Quitting vaping allows your body to heal and reduces nicotine dependence, leading to long-term health benefits and improved well-being. [ ref:1 ]

Are vapes worse than cigarettes?

Vapes, or e-cigarettes, are generally considered less harmful than traditional cigarettes. But, they are not without risks. While e-cigarettes do not produce the same harmful smoke as cigarettes, they contain highly addictive nicotine. Plus, the long-term health impacts of vaping are still being studied, so it’s hard to answer questions like, is vaping bad or is vaping safe? [ ref:1 ]

Our medical team is here to help you find solutions to quit vaping.

Your treatment options

Youly Pill Packet

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)

NRT involves providing your body with low, therapeutic doses of nicotine, to reduce symptoms associated with withdrawal.

Combination Therapy

This type of therapy involves utilising both a long-lasting NRT treatment and a faster-acting dispersal method to achieve successful results. As an example, NRT patches may be used as a long-lasting treatment in combination with products such as lozenges or gum, as required.

Pharmacotherapy

Pharmacotherapy is generally recommended only to those who are being treated for nicotine dependence. Products administered for pharmacotherapy act on neurotransmitters to alleviate cravings and symptoms associated with nicotine withdrawal.

FAQs about quitting vaping

Youly uses a secure digital health platform to provide discreet access to personalised treatments for vaping. After answering a few simple questions, a member of our team will assess if you’re a candidate for nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). If you’re successful, we’ll organise fast delivery to your door.

Nicotine replacement therapy is often the most effective method for quitting smoking. Your body still receives nicotine through a different dispersal method, however, it is a controlled, low-dose release that is only used for a short period to help with symptoms associated with nicotine withdrawal.

If you feel the urge to vape within 30 minutes of waking up, you have likely developed a nicotine dependence.1 It’s important to discuss your vaping habits with your assigned practitioner to discover the most effective treatment for you.

At Youly, we pride ourselves on providing the highest standard of care and always assess each patient on an individual basis. If a member of your medical team determines that it is not safe for you to be prescribed your treatment, or believes that you should visit a GP in person to be further assessed, you will not be issued a prescription and they will provide you with some recommendations on next steps.
