FAQs about UTI treatment

UTI symptoms include the persistent urge to urinate, a burning sensation during urination, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, lower abdominal pain or discomfort, and blood in the urine. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention to prevent further complications.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) can happen to anyone, but women are more likely to get them due to their shorter urethra. And, if you don’t drink enough water or you hold your pee for too long, it can increase your chances of getting a UTI. Remember, it’s essential to stay hydrated and use the bathroom when you need to!

For a UTI diagnosis, your healthcare provider will ask about your symptoms, examine you, and request a mid-stream urine (MSU) sample. This is vital to prevent contamination from bacteria around the urethra, vagina, anus, groin area, and hands.

For some people, it can be a one-time occurrence that resolves with UTI treatments. For others, UTIs can recur and become more challenging to manage and treat. Recurrent UTIs do not have a single cause. Still, certain factors increase the risk of infection and re-infection, such as sexual activity, condom use, hormonal deficiency, diabetes, kidney stones, incontinence or a weakened pelvic floor, and underlying urinary tract abnormalities.

Your treatment will be shipped via our delivery partner, Chemist2U, and is typically delivered the same day for orders placed before 2pm, and the next day for orders placed after 2pm.
